Very hardy perennial vegetable, sun to shade. This particular variety has not flowered for us in more than 20 years, so we propagate it by division. French Sorrel is a long-lived perennial herb that produces attractive, tangy-tasting foliage high in Vitamin C content. The leaves have been used since the Middle Ages in Europe, for both culinary dishes and medicinally. The leafy greens are nice for planting in containers on patios or mixing throughout borders as an accent plant.
